The Mad River School District offers students the advantages of a small learning community committed to academic excellence in a safe learning environment. All seven schools that make up the Mad River Local School District are located in Riverside, Ohio – next to the City of Dayton and Wright Patterson Air Force Base.  Riverside is a socially and economically diverse city with a population of more than 23,000. The area has an abundance of parks and sports fields because life centers around family values. Three major educational institutions are located in the Dayton area: Wright State University, the University of Dayton, and Sinclair Community College. 

The City of Riverside has approximately 26,000 residents. Riverside has one of the lowest income tax rates in the area at 1.5%, excellent government services, and a strong labor pool.

Riverside is located next door to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Twenty-four thousand military and civilian employees work at the Base, making it the largest single-site employer in the State of Ohio. High-level research in avionics, composite materials, and aircraft design takes place at the Base. Several area firms have successfully "spun off" private-sector applications that were first developed at the Base for military use.  The city’s vision is to provide a highly dynamic business, industry, and retail environment.

Riverside offers easy access to local, state and national transportation networks. Several highways intersect close by.  These include I-70 (east/west); I-75 (north/south); I-675 (interbelt); US 35 (east/west); SR 4 (north/south). Conveniently located entrances to those major transportation routes provide speedy transfer of goods and services to market.
