Digital Design students should be visual; they should have a vision for interesting, creative elements. Since a career in DDT generally requires at least an associate’s degree, students should be prepared for college preparatory class work to go along with the hands-on graphic projects. Computers play an integral part of the course; the desire to learn and work on computers is essential. In order to take advantage of the equipment in the class, students are expected to spend some time after school working in the lab. Background experiences in art, drawing and design are helpful, an interest in art and graphic design is essential.
Suggested classes include:
Introduction to Drawing and Introduction to Design in the Art Department as well as the Arts and Communications Foundation.
