MISSION STATEMENT
The Safety Committee is a representative body of district employees who serve to provide a risk-free environment for all involved in the Mad River Local School District. 

The Safety Committee will be defined as:
-Advisory in nature
-Education oriented
-Pro-active
-Referral in nature
-Collaborative in nature
-Creating awareness in safety issues
-Assisting in evaluation of current systems

In addition, the Safety Committee determined that:
-It cannot accept individual reports.  Reports will be directed to the appropriate department or responsible individual.
-It has no enforcement power or authority. 
-It will not make recommendations for change, only act as a resource for safety information and education.
