In August of 2010, the Mad River Local School District and the Mad River Education Association agreed to develop and submit a collaborative application to participate in the Race to the Top program. The district's initial Scope of Work was approved in November 2011. The district began implementing strategies developed as a part of this program in January 2011 will continue to refine and implement strategies associated with this grant program for the next three years. The Mad River Local School District receives just over $500,000 for participating inthe Race to the Top program. These funds are dedicated to supporting the district in adopting new standards and assessments, adopting new systems of using data, and in developing new evaluation systems. |
