The mission of this agency is to empower all parents and families by providing information, resources, and training to support children’s learning and enhance the environments in which they grow. Mad River Elementary School Library Resources
Mad River's portal to each elementary school library website, complete with a variety of academic resources for both students and parents.The mission of the library is to help staff and students reach curriculum goals and develop a life-long love of literature and books.Based on the Ohio Department of Education’s initial allocations, the Mad River Local School District is expecting an approximate 6.5% decline in state and federal grant funding for the 2010 – 2011 school year. During the upcoming school year, Mad River will receive state and federal grant money in the following areas: Title I, Title IIA, Early Childhood Special Education, and IDEA Part B. In addition, as part of the two year federal stimulus package, the district will continue to receive American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds in the areas of Title I, Early Childhood Special Education, and IDEA Part B. ARRA or stimulus funds will not be available to school district beyond the upcoming 2010 – 2011 school year.

Statement on District Highly Qualified Teachers
The No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 provides for all public schools to be staffed by highly qualified teachers. To this end, the Mad River School District has been working diligently to ensure that all core teachers meet the definition of a “highly qualified teacher.” This teacher holds a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, has obtained full state certification or licensure, and has demonstrated subject area competence in each of the academic subjects in which he or she teaches.
The Mad River Local School District is pleased to notify all of our parents that 100% of our core teachers meet the specific qualifications outlined in NCLB for “highly qualified,” 100% of instructional paraprofessional staff also meets the “highly qualified” standards.
As a parent/guardian of a student in the Mad River Local School District, under No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, you have the right to know the professional qualifications of teachers and paraprofessionals who instruct your child. District Statement on School Improvement Status, Public School Choice, and Supplemental Education Services
