Our objective is for all students to meet or exceed district standards. As professional educators, whether our role is in general education, special education, or administration, we believe it is our collective responsibility to support special education students to meet this objective. We understand the essential role parents and guardians have in student educational progress and are committed to fostering effective parent/school collaboration toward the best interests of students.
Mad River Local Schools offers a continuum of programs and services for young people who may need special education services. Special education services are available for students with learning disabilities, physical, developmental and behavioral handicaps and multiple handicaps. Teachers and counselors provide assessment and guidance for students having special needs. Students with an Individual Education Plan (IEP) may be provided with tutoring, or be places in skill-appropriate classes.
