Mad River Middle School provides seventh and eighth graders with outstanding academic and social preparation for the challenges of high school. The Mad River Middle School Community offers an academically and technologically stimulating learning environment for all students. Students work with their parents and school to design Individual Career Plans to assist them in making informed educational decisions as they prepare for the future.

Mad River Middle offers courses in English, social studies, math and science in addition to many varied electives. The school consistently has a large number of our student body on the Honor Roll. Mad River Middle School is a learning community dedicated to developing students to their fullest potential, we strive to ensure that every student reaches her/his greatest potential. Our efforts are supported by a modern facility that includes a Library Media Center and an extensive school computer network. Working closely with parents, Mad River Middle provides a safe and nurturing environment where academic, artistic, social, emotional and physical development is maximized.

Support service, computer, and enrichment staff assist the regular classroom teacher in providing academic support and challenge to students. Students have opportunities to make choices and accept consequences, to explore a wide range of school activities, to value the process of inquiry, to solve problems, and to sustain effort.

Our 7-8 building is committed to the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth of every child. Our energetic, innovative teaching and counseling staff collaborate to provide the best for students. Goals include encouraging students to develop positive self esteem, respect for others, a capacity for productive participation in a global society and a commitment to life-long learning.
