Stebbins Receives "Effective" Rating on State Report Card

Congratulations to the entire Stebbins Community for a job well done! We have cause to celebrate the arrival of the W.E. Stebbins High School 2010-11 report card.

For the seventh year in a row, we have been designated as an “EFFECTIVE” school!

Our students improved on 4 out of 5 subjects on the 10th grade OGT test. Compared to last year, our passage rate increased this year from 75.7 to 77.3% in Math, 81.3 to 86.5% in Writing, 84.8 to 85.2% in Reading, and 75.2 to 76.2% in Social Studies. In addition, our performance index increased from 92.2 to 92.8 %.

Stebbins students met 10 of 12 state indicators this year. We made the graduation rate of 90% with a rate of 90.5% for the first time in school history. We missed the 10thgrade Science indicator of 75% with a 63%, and 11thgrade Science indicator of 85% by .1 % (84.9%).

The Stebbins team, both staff and students, will be working rigorously this year to accomplish our goal of becoming designated as an “EXCELLENT” school. We really appreciate the dedication of our parents. Thank you for all of your support.
