Principal's Message

Welcome to Mad River Middle School! High expectations for all students are the standard at Mad River Middle. Students, parents, and staff work in a partnership that stresses our belief in respect, unity, pride, and community.

The middle school consists of grades seventh through eighth. We offer an exciting mix of rigorous academics, challenging competitive and intramural athletics, outdoor education, fine arts, social experiences, and opportunities to develop leadership skills.

The dedicated teachers and staff members at Mad River Middle are committed to providing each child with an educational environment that fosters success and prepares them for the future. Our teachers are among the very best; they continually strive to utilize current best practices that focus on student-centered instruction and meet state and district standards.

Students are expected to attend school each day, arrive on time, be properly dressed, and have all the necessary learning materials to do their best academically. Our students are also encouraged to demonstrate a passion for learning in a nurturing environment where the unique talents and backgrounds of individuals are valued and respected.

We are extremely proud of our school. All parents and community members are strongly encouraged to get involved in our programs and activities and become valued members of our successful team.
