The Mad River School District is proud to be a Military Purple Star District. The Purple Star School program is designed to help schools respond to the educational and social-emotional challenges military-connected children face during their transition to a new school. It is our goal to support our military families and military children by removing all barriers that will inhibit their success academically, socially, and emotionally and keep them on track to be college and workforce ready.

The Department of Defense authorized the funding for several full-time Military Family Life Counselors (MFLCs) to serve the Mad River School District.
School MFLCs offer short-term non-medical counseling services to military-connected children, parents, faculty, and staff. The MFLC counselors are at the schools to help and are available to talk to military students, facilitate group activities, outreach to parents, and process interactions and concerns. Reach out to our counselors for more information.
