Military children often face unique challenges, with one or both parents occasionally on deployment. Schools that have a high military student population, like Beverly Gardens Elementary, have unique programs in place to aid in the transition process.
Anchored4Life is a peer-to-peer club focused on strengthening resiliency life skills for youth facing transitions. Military children may relocate with their service member parents every 1-4 years, considerably more often than their civilian counterparts.
The purpose of the club is to connect military students to each other since military students move more than the average. The club is meant to give them a connection to the school and the community. New incoming military students are assigned a fellow military peer "buddy" to help support their transition to our school.

Deployment Clubs
Deployment clubs are available for students of deployed parents to connect with other students facing unique challenges during the deployment cycle. The club will provide activities and an opportunity to talk, connect, be heard, and have fun. Please see your school counselor for more details or availability.
