Principal's Message
Dear Brantwood Families:
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! I hope you have enjoyed your summer and had a chance to relax and create great memories with family and friends!
I am very proud to be the new Principal of Brantwood Elementary School. Over the past 20 years, I have had the opportunity to serve in many roles, including classroom teacher and school administrator. I look forward to working with teachers and staff to ensure Brantwood’s commitment to build a community of thinkers and responsible citizens. I am also excited to work with you as your partner in ensuring your child’s educational success. I am committed to the growth of every child at Brantwood and will work extremely hard to ensure that your child cultivates a lifelong love of learning and school! Being a principal provides me the chance to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents on a daily basis, while also remaining connected to young students’ learning and growing in the classroom.
My goal is to ensure that all children are safe, healthy and productive so they are empowered to make the best decisions necessary for them to become academically, socially, physically, and emotionally successful and responsible. With that in mind, it is crucial for you to be an active participant in our school community. Whether you are a classroom volunteer, or member of one of our school committees, you are encouraged to be involved! Research on schools clearly demonstrates that parent participation in their child’s school coincides with a greater likelihood of academic success.
I am excited to meet all of our amazing students and dedicated parents in the weeks and months ahead. Please feel free to connect with me by phone, email or stopping in.
Your partner in education,
Misha Monnin
Principal, Brantwood Elementary School
