Principal's Message

Welcome to the Virginia Stevenson Elementary School website. I am honored to serve as principal of such an exciting learning community.

You and your child will be supported by outstanding educators and support staff who will provide a warm and nurturing academic atmosphere, meeting students’ individual needs. At Stevenson, our focus is to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of our students. It is very important to me that we work together to not only prepare our students for the challenges of the Common Core Curriculum, but to continue to find ways to create meaningful and memorable experiences for our children. My staff and I strive nurture your children and help them achieve success on all levels. |

As a staff, we are committed to excellence in education for every child. We greatly value the strong connection between the home and school environments. Our partnership with the families of our students as well as other community members and organizations is a key part of our success. Students benefit as parents and guardians are involved in their education. Parents are encouraged to be involved in their children’s educational experience as much as possible. There will be many opportunities for families to participate in school events in various ways. I encourage you to visit the website often, stay in contact with your teacher, and call/email to volunteer!
