Welcome to Career and Technical Education
Stebbins High School is not only an award winning high school – it also offers its students a unique opportunity to “stay at home” and attend state and national award winning career technical programs at its Career Technology School.
For over 50 years, the Career Technology Program at Stebbins High School has been helping students find their place in the ever-changing workforce. Through practical application and hands-on learning we can help you find your way to an amazing career or to continue your education once you graduate.
Career and Technical Education (CTE) prepares Stebbins students for a wide range of careers, from nurses to computer technicians, and hundreds of careers in between! Mad River Local Schools embraces the concept of career and technical education for all students and provides counseling, highly-qualified teachers, technology-rich labs, an expansive curriculum, and many support services for students in K-12.
Curriculum and instruction is designed to challenge all students and sets high standards for achievement. Test scores continue to improve and are well above the state and national averages. Most of our seniors take one or more of the college entrance exams, and many of our graduating seniors plan to continue their education at a college, technical school, or the military following high school. Graduating classes continue to earn millions of dollars in scholarships to further their education.
Through classroom instruction, laboratory experience, cooperative work experience and option programs, students are prepared with job entry skills or the necessary prerequisites for additional technical or academic training beyond high school.
Life-long learning opportunities are offered thanks to rigorous programs in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) pathways in Engineering. Students earn college credit in high school and learn technical skills that give them a head start over other students to post-secondary education and careers.
