The Communication Department exists to build public understanding and support for schools in the Mad River School District. Communications Director Jenny Alexander is responsible for maintaining internal and external communications for the district by publishing press releases, internal and external newsletters and answering inquiries from the public. She also serves as the liaison between the district, the community, and the media and assists in coordinating media coverage of the educational process in Mad River Schools. Jenny is also responsible for the creation of the district’s newsletter, website, and other communication materials; assisting with special events; and developing a strategic communications plan.
The school district has won numerous awards from the National School Public Relations Association's Ohio Chapter (NSPRA/Ohio) for its proven success as an effective communication resource.
