Kindergarten Registration

 

Welcome to Kindergarten 2026-27!  

Registration for Mad River Residents Begins March 16, 2026!

• REGISTRATION IS FOR MAD RIVER RESIDENTS ONLY.
• Your student must be 5 on or before September 8, 2026, to be registered.

• For families that reside outside of Mad River district boundaries, please visit our OPEN ENROLLMENT WEBPAGE for more information. Mad River Open Enrollment is an application-only process. Therefore, you must still follow your home district's registration procedures for kindergarten.   

Getting Started

1. Locate your student's elementary school building. Find Your School 
2. Submit an online registration form for the 2026-27 school year by clicking the Mad River Register Now enrollment portal link below. 
3. If you do not have a parent account, you will need to create one by selecting “Create New Account” inside the One View registration portal.
   • If you already have a student in the district (it does not include Preschool), and you submitted the online Back to School forms during the 2025-26 school year, you will log in with your current parent log-in information and select "Enroll New Student."

4. Be sure to select the 2026-27 school year, to begin your application.
5. You must select the school building your child will attend based on your street address. **If you are interested in an Intradistrict Transfer Request, please speak with the building secretary during your scheduled appointment time regarding this option.   
6. You will receive a confirmation email after your student's application has been submitted.
7. Schedule a registration appointment by clicking on your student's assigned building below (based on your home address) to be taken to that building's webpage.
8. Select "Registration Appointment." 
9. At your scheduled appointment time, you will be required to turn in your REGISTRATION CHECKLIST documents.  Copies will be made at that time.

Kindergarten Readiness Boot Camp

Kindergarten Readiness Boot Camp offers targeted, high-quality instruction for children transitioning into kindergarten in the 2026-27 school year. Students will gain familiarity with school routines, strengthen their early literacy skills, and build social readiness.

Breakfast, lunch, and transportation will be provided at no cost!

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To participate in Kindergarten Readiness Boot Camp, a student must:

• Be enrolled in the Mad River School District as a kindergarten student for the 2026-27 school year. 
• Be a verified citizen or have qualified alien status.
• Have family income that does not exceed 200% of the federal poverty level (child receives SNAP, Medicaid, etc.), unless the child:
  • Receives services on an Individualized Education Program (IEP)
  • Is in foster or kinship care
  • Is experiencing homelessness

Kindergarten Readiness Boot Camp enrollment will be prioritized for children who have not participated in any formal early care and education program.

INTRA-DISTRICT TRANSFER REQUESTS

If you are interested in a transfer to another elementary within the district, that must be made through an intra-district request. That form can be requested from the elementary school based on your home address.  Your student must, however, be registered in your building of residence prior to the request.  These applications are on a first-come, first-served basis. Approval is based on space availability within the requested grade/school.
