Starting this month, Stevenson will be partnering with CARE House, the children’s advocacy center in Montgomery County and the Monique Burr Foundation to implement its comprehensive, research-based prevention program called MBF Child Safety Matters.
Students will participate in engaging, fun and developmentally appropriate classroom lessons that educate and empower them to prevent, recognize, and respond appropriately to bullying, cyberbullying, all types of child abuse, and social networking and texting abuse and dangers. Mr. Ward will be implementing the program in classrooms. Parents will receive information and materials as students participate in the lessons.
